Cookies & analytics

This site uses only essential cookies by default. If you accept the analytics option in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with Google's Consent Mode v2 — all four consent signals stay denied until you opt in, and GA never receives your name, email, or message content. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser and reloading.

Who else sees it

ProcessorRoleWhere
Microsoft Azure Hosts this website's static files (no personal data stored here — the site itself holds no database) Content is served to you from Azure's global edge network, including a South African edge location; the underlying resource region is outside South Africa. This isn't a cross-border transfer of personal information under POPIA s72, because no personal information is stored by this hosting resource.
Email delivery (business mailbox provider, once set up) Receives enquiry form submissions so we can reply Depends on the mailbox provider chosen — updated here once that's finalised
Google Analytics Anonymous usage analytics, only if you consent Outside South Africa — cross-border transfer under POPIA s72, under Google's standard contractual terms

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Enquiry form submissions are kept for up to 12 months from the date you send them, then deleted, unless they turn into an active project — in which case the relevant details are kept for the life of that engagement plus a reasonable period after for accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you can ask us to:

To exercise any of these rights, email Apiwe Hoyi, Information Officer for Africanis Labs, at info@africanislabs.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS only, with security response headers (Content-Security-Policy, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, frame protection) applied at the hosting layer. We don't store card numbers or payment details — this site doesn't process payments.

If something goes wrong

If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we'll assess it and, where required, notify the Information Regulator and any affected individuals in line with POPIA section 22.
